Early on in their days together, Buddy Belts’ designer Roxanne noticed that every time she took her doxie Buddy for a walk, he would gag and cough. Employing her years in art school, as both a student and a teacher, she got to work designing a harness that would be easy to use and keep Buddy safe and comfortable.

Buddy Belts’ signature design features one buckle like traditional collars, but with one major difference The Buddy Belt harness hugs your dogs chest and fastens between the shoulder blades rather than around the neck. The streamlined design had no excess material, allowing for a low-cut neckline that prevents the harness from riding up near your dogs throat. Two secure arm loops and a single strap allows for a simple step-in design that is easy to use and doesn’t need to go over their head.

1. Measure your dog’s chest girth. Measure around the widest part of the chest, directly behind the front legs. Make sure to get a snug measurement for a proper fit.
2. Confirm the weight of your pooch.
